Toad in the Holes

Toast
Eggs
Salt
Pepper
biscuit cutter or cup

Cut a hole in the center of a piece of bread using a biscuit cutter or a cup then lightly butter both sides of a piece of bread
-or-
Cut a hole in the center of a piece of bread using a biscuit cutter or a cut then butter the bottom of a hot skillet. (I do it this way.)

Then put the piece of bread in the hot skillet and crack one egg in the center of the hole. Add salt and pepper to taste. Make sure to put the circle you cut out in the pan too. When the bottom side of the egg turns white flip it over and cook only for about 10-15 seconds. Serve right away!




See how the bottom of the egg is white. Flip it when it looks like this.

My kids love to dip the center of the toast in the egg. Sorry for the plastic plate. We don't eat on our nice dishes every day, my kids would break them some how I am sure!
