Whole Wheat Survival Bread

**This bread is so fabluous I can't even explain it! Try it you will LOVE it! I told Elaine that I am turning 30 in September and all I want from her is this bread. Seriously!**

In a large bowl put the following ingredients:

8 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
2 TBS Dry yeast
2 TBS scant sea salt

Stir well with a wooden spoon

Add 5 Cups VERY HOT water and stir well.

-Put over the pilot light on your gas range stove top. Cover the top of the bowl with a light weight cloth. Let double in size, takes about 35 min.
-Stir down and put into oiled bread pans and let it double in size again, takes about 35 min.
-Bake in a pre heated oven at 375 degrees for 40 minutes
-Remove the pans and allow to set for about 20 min before taking a knife around the sides to loosen.
-Turn upside down amd cool before slicing
-This bread is also great to freeze

This bread is also wonderful made like this. Elaine usually always makes it like this.

Follow above directions, however when stirring down the dough ADD the following ingredients and then put the dough into the greased bread pans
1 1/2 Cups chopped walnuts
1 1 /2 Cups Raisins
1 C packed Brown Sugar
2 tsp Cinnamon

Stir well but avoid mixing, it is bread dough and you want to keep teh fluff. Much fun and good luck!
