Made Famous By: Heather McMullin
This is one of my favorite Pampered Chef Recipes.
It is simple, takes two seconds to together, and is one of the most delicious
things I have ever put in my mouth. When I made this my sister was sooo sad that she missed Sunday dinner that week. "You made it with out me," she said.
Serve it with some vanilla ice cream and you have HEAVEN!
5 Granny Smith Apples
1 Yellow Cake mix
2 TB Sugar
1 TB Ground Cinnamon
1/4 C Butter, melted
1/2 C Chopped Nuts
Vanilla Ice Cream or Cool Whip
-Peel, core, and slice apples using the pampered chef peeler/corer/slicer then cut the apples in half.
-Combine the cake mix, sugar, cinnamon, butter and nuts.
-Place 1/2 the apples in the bottom of the deep dish covered baker.
-Sprinkle 1/2 of the cake mix mixture on the apples.
-Layer the rest of the apples then sprinkle the rest of the cake mix mixture on top.
-Pop it in the microwave and cook for 8 minutes on high.
WaLA!!!
**If you are making this in the oven layer the apples and cake mixture the same way then cook at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.**

Looks so yummy Heather. I've done it with other fruit but not apples. John would love it.
ReplyDeleteI feel kind of silly asking this, but what does the "WaLA!!!" mean at the end? Is it an American culture reference?
ReplyDeleteI think she means "voila"
