Made famous by: The guy I used to work with 9 years ago....I think his name was Nathan????
Sometimes the people I get recipes from cracks me up!!!
When I was first married I was a secretary at an accounting firm. It was a temporary job because I was pregnant and knew I wasn't going to be
working for very long. I loved t
he people I worked with.
One Valentines day one of the guys I worked with, I think his name was Nathan brought in this
Giant heart sugar cookie. His older sister made it for him. Cute!!!!
Being the every so polite, never rude person that I am I asked if I could
taste it. What???? I said it was GIANT! H
e could spare a little!
When that cookie was in my mouth it was HEAVEN!!!!!
So I did only did what the rest of you would do.
I had him call his sister right away and get the recipe for me.
It is the only one that I have used ever since then.
I have tried tons and tons of other sugar cookie recipes and none ever compare to t
his one.
Sugar Cookies
2 3/4 C Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
3/4 C Soft Margarine (NOT real butter)
1 C Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp Almond Flavoring
Cream: Margarine, sugar, and eggs
Add Almond flavoring
Add dry ingredients
Let cool in fridge until firm. Over night works too.
Roll out the dough and cut fun shapes out then put them on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes
**DO NOT OVER BAKE. I take them out when the centers are barely cooked though. The cookie will not have brown edges.**
Frosting for the cookies is in the post below.
I will have pictures later in the day. I am making them as we speak. Just thought you might want the recipe for Valentines day parties

  1. That look so sweet and wanna try it

  2. What kind of margarine do you use? Recipe looks great!
