My
Dad thinks he is hilarious. And to be honest, he is hilarious.
THERE
I said it!!J
Growing up if you were
going to the restroom you had to be aware and anticipate the sound of a “gun
shot” inevitably going off during your visit to the porcelain throne.
And
by “gun shot” I mean my Dad coming and hitting the door as hard as he can
scaring the crap right out of you!!!! Literally!!! (Pun intended!)
After scaring the crap out of you he then
would yell, “Did you hear that gun shot??????!!!!!!!”
Imagine
yourself peacefully taking care of business when all of a sudden someone walks
by and bangs on the door as hard and as loud as they possibly can. Let’s just say when that happens to you, you
jolt into the air and involuntarily scream at the top of your lungs……with your pants
and undies around your ankles!
I can’t
even count the number of times this has happened to me. These days, having a “gun shot” go off while
you are going to the restroom, still happens but I am prepared now!!
You learn to always anticipate said “gun shot”. Only now I don’t give my Dad the pleasure of
my screech of horror any more. I have
learned to hold it in even if I do jump two feet into the air from fright.
Has
that happened to anyone else besides my siblings and I???
I do
have a confession though……I have done this to my OWN children……
It’s
true. The apple doesn’t fall far from
the tree. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Someday
they will have their own blogs and tell their readers about their Mom who
thinks she is the funniest person on earth!
I think you should try it and then tell me about how you scared the crap
right out of the people you love!!!
Bwahahaha!
These
delightful little snacks were born out
of my undying love for the mini peanut butter cups at Trader Joe’s. They are tiny little drops of heaven with
chocolate inside of them.
Then
you put them on top of a pretzel and chocolate and……BE STILL MY SOUL, MAGIC
happens!!!!!
The
best part about them is that you can put them together in snap and it looks
like you have spent hours on a masterpiece, which of course they are!!
1 bag
Pretzels
Chocolate
Almond Bark
1 box
Mini Peanut Butter Cups from Trader Joe’s
Holiday
Sprinkles
*Lay out a couple sheets of wax
paper
*Lay the pretzels out on the wax
paper.
*Melt the almond bark per the instructions
on the back of the package.
*After the chocolate almond bark
is melted drizzle a little on each pretzel.
Then place three mini peanut butter cups on each pretzel and finish off
with sprinkles.
*Work in small batches. It is best to only drizzle 6 pretzels with
chocolate at a time and then place the peanut butter cups and sprinkles on
those six before moving on. This way the
chocolate will still be melted enough to make the sprinkles stick.
*Continue until all the pretzels
are covered in chocolate and have mini peanut butter cups and sprinkles on
them.
