Yesterday we went to the Santa Barbara Zoo.  My boys haven’t been in a while and it was the first time my little girl had been to the zoo.  I love how my kids can still make things fun and exciting just by being who they are.  They are still little enough to look at things with such wonder
(Yes that is a tiny giraffe) 


A holiday is not a holiday without the pink stuff and is also the perfect spring time dessert.  It is light fluffy and loaded with delicious fresh fruit.  It was one of the very first recipes I ever posted and I think it deserves to appear on Made Famous By every now and then because it is that special to me.  My Grandma Scott made it every holiday and as a child I always looked forward to it!  My SIL Kathryn made this yummy batch of Pink Stuff for Easter.  It was SO YUMMY!!

Pink Stuff
4-5 Large Containers of Cool Whip
3 large packages of Strawberry Jello
2 cans or fresh Pineapple cubed
2 cans Mandarin Oranges
4-6 Cups Fresh Strawberries
1 bunch Grapes, halved
3 cups Blueberries
2-3 Bananas sliced
2 Cups Blackberries

*Mix the cool whip and Jello together in a large bowl.
*Drain the pineapple and mandarin oranges then add them to the cool whip.
*Slice up all the fruit and mix it into the cool whip until well combined
*Chill for at least 2 hours.  I like to make it the night before.

  1. So funny, my grandma used to make this cranberry marshmallow "salad" for Thanksgiving we also called "Pink Stuff." So good but hard to name! :)
